Quartz glass is made by melting all kinds of pure natural quartz (such as crystal, quartz sand, etc.). It is a special glass containing only silicon dioxide. Due to different types, processes and raw materials, quartz glass processing is often referred to as silicate glass, quartz glass, fused quartz, synthetic fused quartz, fused quartz, and transparent, translucent and opaque quartz without clear concepts. Generally known as quartz glass in China, it is classified according to the process method, use and appearance, such as fused quartz glass, synthetic quartz glass, opaque quartz glass, optical quartz glass, semiconductor quartz glass, quartz glass for electric light source, opaque quartz glass, etc.

1、 What is semiconductor quartz glass?

Semiconductor quartz glass is an amorphous material with a single component of silicon dioxide. Its microstructure is a pure network composed of silicon dioxide tetrahedral structural units. Because of the large Si-O chemical bond energy and the compact structure, quartz glass has very unique properties.

2、 Characteristics of semiconductor quartz glass: semiconductor quartz glass has very special optical characteristics. It can penetrate many different wavelengths of spectrum, from the visible spectrum of the ultraviolet spectrum to the infrared spectrum, during which the transmittance of the ultraviolet spectrum is very good.

Quartz glass has different spectral refractive index for different wavelengths. 1. Impermeability 2. Air permeability 3. Electrical property 4. Optical property 5. Thermal property
